PURCHASING AND RECEIVING

The purchasing menus are a powerful part of PURVEYOR. They are both
easy to use and make available the most advanced suggested purchasing
available today.

Purchasing Entry Screens

• both future orders and one step receiving is possible
• purchases already placed are easily looked up on the screen, by vendor
  
• credit analysis is performed both before placing the order and after, allowing buyers to avoid placing orders with the wrong vendor when A/P bills have gotten high
  
• lead times are checked before posting
  
• replacement cost is the default for the P.O. cost
• suggested purchase orders may be auto-generated by past sales demand and can generate multiple vendor P.O.s by user-specified criteria

• Variances are computed and displayed before, during, and after production in the Bill of Materials (Production) Screen.

• the buyer may examine the sales versus cost of goods sold on a product or even a vendor!!
  
• these analyses are available as yearly totals and as either weekly or monthly totals
